The Best View In Turkey

This story comes from two girls I met while abroad on Semester at Sea. After partying it up in Taksim Square, Istanbul the girls had met a group of good looking Turkish men. Apparently one was really into facial hair. So after partying with them all night the guys asked the girls to come home with them claiming that they “had the best view in Turkey.” The girls drunkenly obliged and next thing you know they were pulling up to a dark rundown apartment building. Thinking nothing of it, they began to climb 5 flights of pitch black stairs, with the guys constant reassurance that they were almost home. At last they reach the top and open the door into what they think will be an apartment, but instead is a rooftop littered with garbage, stained mattresses, broken chairs, headless baby dolls, and a strange man sleeping in the corner. It was at this point that the girls realized that although the roof did have the best view in Turkey, these guys were homeless and had brought them back to there hovel for a late night party. Had they realized earlier how strange it was that the guys were wearing hiking backpacks in bars and refused to tell them there full names they probably wouldn’t have ended up sucking face with homeless Turkish men in a crack den. But alas the damage was done and the lesson was learned, never trust a man wearing a back pack in a bar who claims to have the best view in Turkey.
